Merry Christmas
Last week was such a roller coaster. For the most part, I was uber stressed because of the party. Ivy, you BIIIIITCH! Charm and I would always whine about how Ivy got us into this party planning. Sometimes I contemplated on calling Ivy and nagging her on how she's ruining my Christmas vacation and that I'm quitting. But then again if I did that, Charm would be the one left doing almost everything. We really bonded the past week. The last time Charm and I bonded was over a bottle of Novellino back in HS. I felt like Nana O. because Charm was doing all the talking while I just sat there and listened. But when it comes to dissing Tamby (short for Tambucho Girl since she wants a better namesake), well...
I hated the chores I have to do before the party (had to say sorry all over again to Stacy and Erik for asking a favor when they're already on their way to dinner). But when I came there at 8 and saw everything was going well I was uber proud of moi, Charm, Dani and maybe Ivy, too. I was quite overwhelmed because people started backing out days before and to see still quite a lot came (including former classmates -- frankly, buti pa kayo isang tawagan lang nandyan na) was the real joy. From the start till the end, digicams were flashing and the videoke machine's screen was crammed with song numbers.
After the party, it was hell again. Charm and I would say, "Hanggang sa huli tayong dalawa pa rin. Ivy, nasan ka?" Miks tried to help me in the cleaning but the poor fellow was too drunk. I think Miks is trying to outdo himself. Mariam's debut he sang like an idiot, this summer he asked Neil which HS he came from, this time he was drunk beyond belief. Hahaha. He's actually funny. In the morning I asked him if he remembers all the ruckus he did and he said yes and that he's extremely ashamed of himself. Heehee. YouTube anyone??

Jenny gave these to me. Love old school Mickey!

Almost complete. Stacy missing.

I looove my friends. Nice to see everyone again. Thanks Thea for the pics.
On the 23rd spent the evening at Ana's because it's her brother's birthday. While on the way, Miks sent a message to Charm that he's sorry for everything that he might have destroyed and pleading that we don't scatter his videos (As if!).
I thought it was a big party because I saw a tent and lots of people. Turns out that the tent is for the wake of a neighbor. Dios mio! Only me, Charm, Ste, Erik, Em, Edmund and Kevin were there. Played 1,2,3 pass, pekwa and pusoy dos. Ed kept on winning in pusoy dos while I'm not so lucky. Em and Ed were telling me not to wash my hands because baka mapasma daw ako. Haha.
Though it's a day late, still, Merry Christmas to everyone!
Hey it's MMFF again! Let's watch movies. Here's what I want to watch: Ligalig, Matakot Ka sa Karma and ZsaZsa Zaturnnah.

Holiday
Decided to take my holiday last December 8th so I went out with Cheryl for a movie at ATC. She lives in Makati. It’s not that I’m punishing her but we had this agreement that we’ll take turns watching movies near our place. This time it was my turn.
Sidestory: While riding the tricycle, the driver told me that it was our parish fiesta pala so he greeted me happy fiesta. I just smiled and said thanks. Then he told me that I should be more careful when going home at night because there are apparently lots of drug addicts in our area. Said yeah and I don’t really stay out late so much (liar). Then another person rode the tricycle and the driver greeted him, too. Then that was the same case with another passenger. When the two passengers got off at friendship gate, Mr. Driver’s got no change for the bills and told the two that the ride is for free. I looked into my purse and the coin count reveals that I only have PHP6.75, 25 cents short. I don’t want to pay with a 20 peso bill because he would not earn anything. Asked him if he could accept PHP6.75 and thanked him so much. I’m quite surprised that he could be genuinely nice given that most drivers do today is complain complain and complain while they’re not even taxpayers. Heh.
Anyways, meeting place is at 12NN and I was take note: 10 minutes early. Since Che was nowhere in sight, decided to go around the mall and stare lustfully at the cellphones. Then Che sent a message saying she just freaking got up and would be late. Told her not to rush because I’ll be spending the time at Powerbooks. I have no choice but to squat at the young adults section because the usual squatting area is full of people already. After much going around the area, finally found a book to read — Teen Idol by Meg Cabot. Just as I was getting into it, Che texts me that she’s already there. Time check says that she was late by an awful one and a half hours. No problem since I was doing something plus the movie’s not to start until an hour later. Since she’s watched Happy Feet already, we decided to see Casino Royale instead (I know, so last month pa to). We entered the cinema at a very wrong time. The scene was where Bond said, “The bitch is dead…” Movie spoiled big time.
But still, I liked the movie. It was not until I went home that I learned that Casino Royale was actually the first Bond book written. I admit I’m not really enthusiastic at first with Daniel Craig as Bond but I liked his performance in this flick (yeah, Craig, you’re having the last laugh now). Well, maybe because the movie focused on character development and not on wowing us with high tech gadgets and Craig delivered the part well. And the opening action scene is the best one I’ve seen in years. Also, Casino Royale has the cheesiest lines ever. I swear. Che and I experienced incessant eyeball rolling and if cheesiness could kill, we would’ve dropped dead. But seriously, it was good to see a different side of Bond. My fave scene is where Bond had a heart attack due from poisoning and Vesper comes to the rescue to push the red button on something then Bond finally gets a grip and the first question he asks is, “You okay?” Haha! As if Vesper was the one who was having an attack.

Now I can Breathe...Sort Of
Gaaaad, accounting subjects for this term are over! I just had my last compre exam last night. Can you believe that the exam is from 6:00-10:00PM? Four solid hours of solving freaking auditing problems. I had a headache plus I badly need braces to support my neck. I'm so not cut out to be an auditor.
I am half relieved. But half of me is still anxious over the grades. Blast it. Come Friday, I hope it's good news I'm going to receive from the prof. Eight more school days and this term is over.
Wednesday, November 22, 2006
Oops!
I should learn to shut my mouth or at least look around to check if the person I want to diss is around or not. You see, our auditing prof has been coming late for class consistently. Today, he was late for about 20 minutes. I am always annoyed of profs who come in really late because that’s it, they’re just late in fact but you cannot do anything about it. Whereas with the students, they record it and get deductions in the class standing.
I just can’t take waiting for so long anymore that I blurted out that auditing profs are notorious latecomers. Then my classmates turned to me with horrified looks on their faces. It turns out that Sir was already there but I didn’t see him coming because I was talking to another classmate while he was hunched over setting up his laptop. Shit. I know he heard it. He bloody heard everything that I said. He just pretended that he didn’t hear it. That or he’s seriously deaf at 21 years of age. But I doubt that he’s deaf because I was about 1.5 meters away from him. You know what I did? I scurried to my seat so he won’t know that it was me who said it.
Tomorrow I’ll try to uhm…come a bit clean by writing in my assignment that he could do better by attending class on time. Haha! Suck-up! He asks us some extra questions for the assignment that’s not really related to auditing. The extra requirement couldn’t be more appropriate this time: evaluation of the teacher. So, I’ve got an excuse to point out his tardiness. Haha!

Bullet Points Again
»Oh my god! I have so much to tell that I can't seem to think where to start first. Oh yeah, that trip to the Visayas region...it was POSTPONED!!!!!! Everything was going well (for them ha!) then suddenly Dad's agency told him he'll be leaving on Monday (which was Monday this week). And so, he needs to go process everything in less than a week. He was here for about a week and a half. There's a new ship and Dad's going to be the first captain. So yeah, they're going to spray champagne on the ship and have the maiden voyage to insert-name-of-country-here.
»I passed Advanced Accounting II!!! This time I was the highest in the compre exams. Heehee. I got 92%!! Seriously, up to now, I can't believe that I got that high mark. And the time it was announced in class...it was pure bliss. I felt like I'm the Accounting Goddess..but on second thought, I'd rather be not. That's the highest grade EVER that I've got in any accounting subject since I started majors. I think I passed Auditing Theories, too; grades will come out on Monday. I'm taking up Auditing Problems now and I'm having serious problems in it. 'Nangangapa' is the term. You can add 'windang', too. My only consolation is I'm not the only windang in class. Grabe, several of my classmates have sleepovers so that they can study together. Some of them DO NOT take a bath because bathing time is eaten up by study time, too.
»I'm so annoyed with someone in class. Mind you, I have a loooong draft that's solely about her. I abused all the adjectives that I could abuse just to express my high annoyance of her. But I'm in such a good mood right now that I'll just delete the draft. She's just a suck-up, big-mouthed insufferable know-it-all! Oops...Did I just type that?? Told you she annoys me to high heavens.
»I already watched The Prestige. The first thirty minutes was B-O-R-I-N-G. But in fairness to the film, it made me guess up to the very last. Scarlett Johansson didn't do any much acting but her character pretty much revved up the rivalry even more. I like the cinematogrpahy and the film's feel is kind of gothic...dark and gloomy.
»Today's the birthday of my best-est friend in the world, Salve. The time is simply not enough to catch up on each other. We tried to wander off the 'topic' but somehwere down the middle it just pops up and the reason behind it. When we're browsing magazines she told me she likes reading Comsmopolitan and ironically, there's a feature about being single in the November ish. Uh-oh. Jokingly told her that she should buy it. Hehe.

I was supposed to come with them then go home a couple of days earlier. But then the schedule of classes changed then I suddenly had a Saturday class. I'm a loser. Sana di matuloy!!!!
» I'm going to censor myself and stop whining about the modular program (Think +, di ba?). The reason I'm being a whiny brat is because I feel as if my efforts are for nothing (and I'm feeling I'm missing out on so much; re: previous point). But not anymore which will lead to my last point:
» I passed Cost Accounting!!! I got 87% in the comprehensive exams and was also the second to the highest (she got 88%..haha! Bitter!). Woooohoooo!!! And just today, I also passed my first exam in Auditing Principles. Ayos.
